Banjarmasin state polytechnic (Poliban) is the first vocational higher education in nSouth Kalimantan. By implementing a voactional lecture system and national framework of qualifications. based curriculum which means focusing in learning activities to meet industrial qualifications, graduation of poliban will be able to compete and capture the opportunities in work fields.
Poliban was officially established in 1987 has 5 departments; Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Accounting, Bussiness Administration which each of it has several study programs. The total of study program entirely is 13 study programs at D3 level and 6 study programs at D4 level. In the context of institutional development , Poliban establishes another study programs.
In order to support learning services, Poliban has information technology center, languange center, library, professional certification institutions (LSP) to asses the competency of students, career development center (CDC) to assist students and alumni in finding jobs, developing skills and expanding network.
Scholarsip alocations are available each year which is provided by goverment and industry for students who have achievements in academics or do not have adequate financial support.
